From 2013 to 2017, the Youth and Family Bridges Project (Bridges Project) was funded by the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) as part of a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), State Youth Treatment Enhancement and Dissemination grant. The project consisted of multiple components, including the utilization of the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA), an evidence-based practice, which was augmented by Assertive Continuing Care (ACC), a continuing care intervention. In order to reach urban, suburban, rural, and frontier counties, two providers were selected to deliver services to youth with substance use disorders (SUD) and/or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
