State of Colorado Habitat Partnership Program.
"Approved: Colorado Wildlife Commission January 5, 2011. This plan is valid for 10 years from the approval date."
Developed by the South Park Habitat Partnership Program Committee, established in September 1992 to address conflicts between big game wildlife populations and livestock operators. The SPHPPC has completed a variety of habitat improvement projects and implemented several programs that address wildlife conflicts. These projects include distribution management hunts, hazing activities, mechanical habitat manipulations, prescribed fire treatments, water developments, invasive species herbicide treatments, fertilizer, landowner fencing repair materials distributions, research on South Park’s fringe sage infestation, and wildlife friendly fence design.
