1983 Yampa River cobble reach morphology investigation : final report
1983 Yampa River cobble reach morphology investigation : final report
A morphological and hydraulic investigation of the cobble substrate reach of the Yampa River was conducted to determine the natural conditions and processes of the observed spawning habitat of the Colorado squawfish Ptychocheilus lucius. Recent studies conducted by the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW) have concluded that the cobble substrate reach (River Mile 10 to 19) of the Yampa River in Dinosaur National Monument is utilized as spawning habitat for the endangered Colorado squawfish., J.S. O'Brien ; submitted to Endangered Species Office, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Salt Lake City, Utah., "April 1984.", Print version record.
1985 riprap tests in flood control channels
1985 riprap tests in flood control channels
This study is a continuation of the work to determine the point of incipient failure and other hydraulic characteristics of riprap for providing criteria for design of stable ripraps in flood control channels. Two sizes riprap materials were tested. One material had a d = 1.0 in. and the other had a d₅₀ = 2.0 in. Both riprap sizes had the ETL 1110-2-120 gradation recommended by WES., prepared for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Waterways Experiment Station ; by: James F. Ruff, Alaeddin Shaikh, Steven R. 1992 report to the USDI Bureau of Reclamation, lower Gunnison surge demonstration project
1992 report to the USDI Bureau of Reclamation, lower Gunnison surge demonstration project
The purpose of the installation is to test and demonstrate surge technology to local farmers It has been proven elsewhere that the surge irrigation technology enables irrigators to achieve higher irrigation efficiencies uniform applications and deep percolation reduction Reducing deep percolation decreases salt loading of the Colorado River., Description based on online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed March 2014), The program was made possible by a grant to the Colorado State University Cooperative Extension from the United states Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation Federal Identifier 1-FC-40-11630

1993 report to the USDI Bureau of Reclamation, Grand Valley demonstration project
The purpose of the installation is to test and demonstrate surge technology to area farmers. The equipment also enables irrigators to improve their irrigation efficiency and to reduce the deep percolation and its resultant salt loading of the Colorado River., Description based on online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed March 2014), The program was made possible by a grant to the Colorado State University Cooperative Extension from the United States Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation Federal Identifier 0-FC-40-09270
