Abstract: This study has been conducted to provide an analysis of the impact of energy efficiency on the home buying process. Specifically, the purpose is to assess the impact of energy efficiency elements on the purchase decision, not to estimate property value based on the presence of energy efficient elements. This study includes the analysis of residential properties in the greater Denver metro area, which ranged in sale price from $196,000 to $1,180,000.
