As part of its overall process to revise the State's Model Content Standards, the Colorado Department of Education asked WestEd to expand its review to include summaries of the pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) and early learning standards of innovative states or states considered leaders in the field.
"The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) contracted WestEd to conduct a review of Colorado's K-12 Model Content Standards (MCS). The findings and recommendations from this review are intended to inform decision-making by the CDE during its standards revision process."
