In Colorado, there are formal complaint processes to review the conduct of attorneys and judges and to administer discipline when warranted. Additionally, voters can choose whether to retain or dismiss judges who are up for retention in an election. This issue brief provides an overview of these complaint and retention processes.

Year to year, homelessness continues to be a challenge facing the United States. It is estimated that on a given night in January 2016, 549,928 people were experiencing homelessness in the U.S. About 10,550 homeless individuals were located in Colorado, representing a 6 percent increase in the homeless population in Colorado from 2015. Not only are the homelessness rates rising in Colorado, but morbidity and mortality rates have also been shown to be higher among people experiencing homelessness when compared to non-homeless individuals

This report provides a summary of the roadway characteristics, multimodal facilities, and traffic and safety conditions; identifies infrastructure deficiencies; and summarizes important existing environmental resources in the U.S. Highway 34 (US 34) Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study Area. This information will be used to determine if obtaining additional data is required, to assess improvement needs, and to guide the development of corridor alternatives. The existing conditions presented in this report represent a snapshot in time current to September 15, 2017, and will be used to determine additional data collection needs for the PEL.
