As Colorado communities around the state continue to confront different economic challenges, certain communities demonstrate a resiliency that others do not. While some communities bounce back quickly from downturns, others lag behind and sometimes never completely recover. A comprehensive, statewide analysis of factors that affect a community's resiliency is important because it will allow stakeholders to assist struggling communities better, while encouraging communities that are already moving in the right direction.

This report assesses the impact of Northern Colorado Public Colleges and Universities (NoCoPCU) on the regional economy and the benefits on the regional economy and the benefits generated by the institutions for students, taxpayers, and society. The results of this study show that NoCoPCU creates a positive net impact on the regional economy and generates a positive return on investment for students, taxpayers, and society.
This memorandum presents the 2024 Legislative Council Staff forecast for the state public institutions of higher education. The forecast provides projections of resident and nonresident full-time equivalent (FTE)1 student enrollment and College Opportunity Fund (COF) FTE enrollment for the current year (FY 2023-24) and budget year (FY 2024-25). The forecast also includes projected tuition revenue for FY 2023-24.
The Colorado General Assembly created the Accountability, Accreditation, Student Performance and Resource Inequity Task Force through H.B. 23-1241 "to study academic opportunities, inequities, promising practices in schools, and improvements to the accountability and accreditation system. In particular, the Task Force will consider both academic opportunities or inequities that may be impacting achievement gaps, and improvements to the accountability and accreditation system to expand and incentivize academic opportunities and address these inequities.
