Young people incarcerated in Colorado are in crisis. Violence in Colorado's Division of Youth Corrections facilities has risen dramatically in recent years, leaving youth and staff feeling unsafe and afraid. Colorado's youth correctional facilities have higher rates of fights and assaults than other states, and youth and staff are commonly injured during these incidents. In this chaotic and violent environment, children cannot thrive.
This issue brief provides an overview of court and court facility funding. Specifically, information is provided on state, county, and information is provided on state, county, and supplemental funding grants available to assist counties with court security and facility costs.
The Colorado Energy Office undertook this electric vehicle (EV) equity study to establish an understanding of factors that would prevent areas with greater socioeconomic or transportation need from accessing electric transportation and its benefits, and to provide tools for the state of Colorado and its partners to design programs that support equitable electrification. This EV equity study report describes the menu of options available to support transportation electrification in an equity-centered approach and provides tools that would immediately support the state of Colorado in implementing these options. Throughout his report, the term 'EV equity' refers broadly to any policy, strategy, engagement, assistance, or other resource that supports equitable access to electric transportation and its benefits. The report is broken into four sections that focus on different questions of equity.
While much has been achieved in upgrading and improving the Traffic Records System in Colorado, significant problems remain. Most databases still function as islands of information with limited data sharing and integration. Data remains inconsistent from one dataset to another. The quality of some data is questionable and accessibility is limited. While an initial plan was to develop a Traffic Records Virtual Data Warehouse (TRVDW) to provide a comprehensive, complete, accurate, data resource, the TRVDW feasibility study revealed the concept to be too costly for implementation. This Strategic Plan provides a number of goals and objectives for improvements to the Traffic Records System. All of them serve the ultimate goal of a well integrated Traffic Records System delivering timely, high-quality data for appropriate traffic safety decisions at all levels.
