This document pulls all of the personal financial literacy expectations from the Colorado social studies and mathematics standards into one document. It is intended to support planning and implementation of personal financial literacy expectations. It is not intended to represent a separate set of standards.
As part of its overall process to revise the State's Model Content Standards, the Colorado Department of Education asked WestEd to expand its review to include summaries of the pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) and early learning standards of innovative states or states considered leaders in the field.
"The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) contracted WestEd to conduct a review of Colorado's K-12 Model Content Standards (MCS). The findings and recommendations from this review are intended to inform decision-making by the CDE during its standards revision process."
Students learning English as a second language in Colorado are faced with all of the content challenges of a native English speaker, in addition to learning a new language. The English Language Development (ELD) Standards represent a two-year process involving highly qualified ESL/Bilingual educators from across the state.
