"The data included in the 2010 Advancing Colorado is based on the 2008-09 fiscal year expenditures of the university and the CU, CU Real Estate and Coleman foundations, as well as the expenditures of students and their out-of-state visitors. Data for the university and foundations are based on audited financial statements, and student expenditures are estimated based on a four-campus student survey conducted in Fall 2009 (the most recent data available."--Back cover., Cover title., Print version record.

Aerial photograph/GIS analysis and field studies of the 15 and 18 mile reach of the Colorado River
Aerial photograph/GIS analysis and field studies of the 15 and 18 mile reach of the Colorado River
Surveys of the Colorado River near Grand Junction, Colorado show that populations of Colorado squawfish (Ptychocheilus lucius) and razorback sucker (Xyrauchen texanus) are small and continue to decline. A potentially important factor in their decline is a reduction in the amount of available habitat. The fish are most commonly found in habitats of complex channel which may be affected by bank stabilizing activities and regulation of the river flow. Areas with channel complexity provide important habitats for the fish in both their adult and larval life stages. Adult fish apparently prefer these areas because they provide a range of habitats for feeding shelter and reproduction., Mark M. Aerial photograph/GIS analysis and field studies of the Grand Valley and Ruby-Horsethief Canyon of the Colorado River
It has been suggested in a number of recent reports that the decline in native fish populations in the Colorado River system is due primarily to habitat loss and environmental changes associated with the construction of reservoirs and water diversions. However until we began examining this issue no one had actually determined the significance of channel change on the Colorado River nor had the link between flow regulation and channel change been well established Our purposes then in undertaking geomorphic studies in the Grand Valley area and Ruby Horsethief Canyon were to quantify historic changes in river morphology to study the response of existing habitats to the present day flow regimen and to predict the flow magnitude which will transport coarse sediment for habitat creation and maintenance., Mark M. Alphabetism : the effect of surname initial and the risk of being otherwise undistinguished
A small literature demonstrates that names and initials are correlated with important economic outcomes for firms and individuals. This paper presents the first comprehensive examination of the relationship between alphabetic rank of surname initial and life outcomes. Those outcomes include male investments in human capital and labor market experiences through middle age., Alexander S. Cauley, Jeffrey S.
