The behavior of LNG vapor clouds. Wind-tunnel simulation of 40 M³ LNG spill tests at China Lake Naval Weapons Center, California : final report, July 1979-July 1981
The behavior of LNG vapor clouds. Wind-tunnel simulation of 40 M³ LNG spill tests at China Lake Naval Weapons Center, California : final report, July 1979-July 1981
Wind-tunnel transient concentration data were obtained from modeling tests which reproduced gaseous dispersion from five different forty cubic meter or less liquefied natural gas (LNG) spills performed at China Lake Naval Weapons Center. Comparisons in the transient concentration data between these modeled tests and the field tests indicated which parameters are dominant in the modeling process. Model tests which reproduced the wind shear and turbulence structure of the approach wind reproduced the concentration patterns measured at the field site. This result reinforced the predictive reliability of wind tunnel modeling of larger volume spills., prepared by D.E. Neff and R.N. The behavior of LNG vapor clouds. Wind-tunnel tests on the modeling of heavy plume dispersion : final report, July 1979-September 1981
The behavior of LNG vapor clouds. Wind-tunnel tests on the modeling of heavy plume dispersion : final report, July 1979-September 1981
Visual and concentration measurements were made for a large number of continuous ground-level releases of heavy gases into a wind-tunnel boundary layer. These different plumes were not affected by any topographic or building wake influences. The experiments provided a broad coverage of the variable range of source gas specific gravity, source gas flow rate, and approach flow wind speed., prepared by D.E. Neff and R.N. The boy who heard Lincoln at Gettysburg
As a young boy, William (Willie) Wilson Curtin was on the dignities platform when the Gettysburg cemetery was consecrated. A photograph shows Abraham Lincoln and Willie Curtin, son of Pennsylvania's Governor Andrew Curtin just prior to Lincoln giving the famed Gettysburg address. The history of Gettysburg battle and cemetery and the impact of the Gettysburg address are discussed., video file MPEG 536MB, Executive producer: Roger Sharpe; written by Joe Vasos and Roger Sharpe; directed by Joe Vasos; narrated by Rosemary Harris; graphics Joe Mendoza, Carl Kichinko; original music composed and performed by Katherine Azari., "The Boy Who Heard Lincoln at Gettysburg was inspired by the historical research of Roger Sharpe.", Produced by Colorado State University., Online resource; title from title screen (viewed February 2020)

The chemistry and dynamics of marine stratocumulus
The chemistry and dynamics of marine stratocumulus
A study of ozone chemistry and meteorological processes occurring in the eastern North Pacific stratocumulus regime. This climatological regime is characterized by widespread, persistent low cloud and an air history that does not include contact with continents for many days. Since both ozone and important in the earth-atmosphere energy balance, the processes studied here are important in the system interactions that govern climate., "Research supported by the National Science Foundation, "Research supported by the National Science Foundation, "Research supported by the National Science Foundation, "September, 1988.", Includes bibliographical references (p.
