In preparation for its upcoming MMIS procurement, the State of Colorado, Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (the Department) is conducting an assessment of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and Fiscal Agent services procurements in other states. The State's current MMIS is over 20 years old, with components that are over 30 years old based on a 1970s general design. Many workarounds and manual processes have been developed to accommodate the antiquated system. The current system needs to be replaced.
