Repositioning CSM's mining, mineral processing, and extractive metallurgy programs : report of an ad-hoc committee
Repositioning CSM's mining, mineral processing, and extractive metallurgy programs : report of an ad-hoc committee
Ad-hoc committee to consider potential futures for mining engineering, extractive metallurgy and mineral processing at Colorado School of Mines. The committee has completed its review of current and future workforce needs, enrollment and placement of CSM graduates, and faculty qualifications and trends. We have analyzed comparable programs at other US and Canadian universities. In this final report we document our findings and recommendations aligned with the education and strategic vision tasks as charged. However, of importance going forwards, will be to establish the interweaving of discipline-focused education with a plan to achieve global leadership in multi-disciplinary research and integrate time lines and action items accordingly., Wendy J.
