In 2021, the Clean Transit Enterprise (CTE) was established within the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to support public transit electrification plan efforts, facility upgrades, fleet vehicle replacements and the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging and fueling infrastructure. The primary business purpose of the CTE is to "reduce and mitigate the adverse environmental and health impacts of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions produced by motor vehicles used to make retail deliveries by supporting the replacement of existing gasoline and diesel transit vehicles with electric, including motor vehicles that originally were powered exclusively by internal combustion engines but have been converted into electric motor vehicles, providing the associated charging infrastructure for electric transit fleet motor vehicles, supporting facility modifications that allow for the safe operation and maintenance of electric transit motor vehicles, and funding planning studies that enable transit agencies to plan for transit vehicle electrification" (CRS 43-4-1203)., "Approved by CTE Board on May 25, 2022.", Online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed May 2025)
The State Aviation System Plan provides the Division of Aeronautics with an important planning tool - a tool that helps Aeronautics determine how its investment elevates overall system performance. In addition, the State Aviation System Plan helps to identify those airports and those projects that help to provide a system of airports that can meet the State's air transportation needs, while supporting its economic goals. This 2011 update to Colorado's Aviation System Plan has three primary objectives. The first objective is to provide, based on current conditions, an update on how well the system is performing. The second objective of this update is to identify changes in system performance. The third objective of this 2011 update is to better show the relationship between system performance measures and benchmarks and facility and service objectives that were also established in 2000., Colorado Aeronautics Division, Colorado Department of Transportation ; prepared by IcF SH & E with Jviation, Kramer aeroteck, Inc., "May 2012." -- Footer., Online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed January 2018)
Traffic noise can be considered an environmental pollution because it lowers the standard of living. Research in Europe and in the United States has indicated that it is possible to build pavement surfaces that will reduce the level of noise generated on roadways. This report provides the results of testing to define the noise levels of selected highway sections in Colorado., Sponsored by the Colorado Dept. of Transportation in cooperation with the U.S. Dept. of Transportation Federal Highway Administration., "April 2004.", "Report No. CDOT-DTD-R-2004-5.", Includes bibliographical references (p. 21)., Mode of access: World Wide Web.
