The Southern Rockies Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SRLCC) covers over 36 million acres in Colorado and spans a wide elevation gradient from high Rocky Mountain peaks to dry plateaus of the Colorado's west slope. Wetlands are similarly variable within this region and are particularly important for wildlife habitat, as they are often more productive than the surrounding uplands. In addition, wetlands are an integral component of regional hydrologic cycles through their role in flood abatement, storm water retention, groundwater recharge, and water quality improvement., Jeremy Sueltenfuss, Gabrielle Smith, Joanna Lemly., Includes bibliographical references (page 30-31), Online resource; title from PDF title page (viewed February 2021)
Wetlands and riparian areas in the Arkansas Headwaters subbasin support biologically significant resources, including plants animals and natural communities. Decisions about wetland management should be based on a solid understanding of their extent and distribution. The goal of this project was to create an up-to-date digital map of wetlands in the Arkansas Headwaters subbasin to aid regulatory, conservation and management decisions., Joanna Lemly, Lexine Long, Gabrielle Smith, and Jeremy Sueltenfuss., "March 2016.", "Report Prepared for: EPA Region 8 Wetlands Program.", Includes bibliographical references (page 44-45), Online resource; title from PDF title page (viewed February 2021)
