The COVID-19 pandemic brought more than a novel and dangerous virus to Colorado. The 2021 Colorado Health Access Survey (CHAS) documents historic shifts in health, access to care, and social and economic conditions. More people than ever before reported economic conditions. More people than ever before reported challenges with their mental health, especially young adults. Fewer people went to the doctor. Many Coloradans lost their job-based insurance, and more than a million had their incomes reduced. People of color were especially hard hit., "October 2021.", "#2021CHAS.", The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing and the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health provided funding for the creation for this publication., Online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed November 2021)
Postpartum depression is identified as an issue of significance in the Medicaid population. The Department and HSAG developed a pilot, provider-based intervention designed to identify strategies to increase the number of Medicaid providers who administer postpartum depression screenings and, as applicable, to provide treatment referrals to the appropriate regional behavioral health organizations (BHOs) or community mental health centers (CMHCs)., Cover title., "July 2004.", "This report was produced by Health Services Advisory Group, Inc. for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing.", "CO2009-10_PH_PostpartumDep_Rpt_F1_0810"--P. 1., Includes bibliographical references., Mode of access: World Wide Web.
The 2019 CHAS sheds new light on the health of Coloradans and the stories behind the statistics. While there has been little change in the state's uninsured rate, Colorado has lost ground on affordability of insurance and coverage for children. New analysis shows many Coloradans are struggling to afford housing, food, and medical care, all of which can affect health. This all points to work that must be done to secure the gains of the past decade and build a more equitable system., "January 2020.", The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing and the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health contributed funding for the creation for this publication., Online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed November 2021)
PROMETHEUS tool, an industry-standard episode of care grouper uses detailed clinical algorithms to group claims and encounter data into episodes of care and compares the services provided, outcomes, and associated costs against clinically determined best practices to identify any inefficiencies in the form of Potentially Avoidable Complications (PAC). The results from the PROMETHEUS tool can be used in actuarial, clinical, contractual, and operational settings. The PROMETHEUS tool groups claims and encounters into episodes of care based on clinical definitions of look-back and look-forward time periods centered around typical trigger claims and services for each type of episode., "April 19, 2019.", Online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed May 2025)
