The purpose of this guide is to provide information to assist districts in the completion of the CDE-40 claim form, and to prepare districts for the subsequent audit of the submitted data and fund distributions. Under the "Rules for the Administration of the Public School Transportation Fund," all public school districts that provide directly, or contract for, pupil transportation are eligible to receive reimbursement from this fund.
