The overall purpose of the report is to provide further details on this initial set of strategies. This report is a compilation of a series of technical memorandums that were developed to summarize technical work that was completed for the CWCB under various task orders. The objectives of the technical memorandums that have been compiled in this report are: Identify potential scenarios for Colorado's water supply future and associated; Describe the M&I conservation strategy, agricultural transfer strategy, and new supply development strategy; Present reconnaissance level cost estimates for the agriculture transfer and new supply development strategies; Summarize the benefits, impacts, and opportunities of each strategy.
When a release of a hazardous material or other substance occurs to the environment, there are a number of reporting and notification requirements that must be followed by the company or individual responsible for the release. Environmental releases must be reported to the appropriate authorities so that necessary response actions are taken in a timely fashion to ensure maximum protection of human health and the environment.
The Arkansas River drainage basin lies south and west of the town of Leadville. The listed segments on this 303(d) listed portion of the upper Arkansas account for 163 miles of the 1,450 mile length of river. Many tributaries flow into the Arkansas River including Lake Creek, Chalk Creek, and Evans Gulch, which are also listed on the 1998 303(d) list for elevated metal concentrations.
