Charter schools must comply with all federal and state laws and constitutional provisions prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability or the need for special education services. Students with disabilities attending charter schools are entitled to the same rights as special education students attending traditional public schools and must be provided with the special education services. a charter school is accountable to its authorizer for compliance with special education and disability laws.
