Potential emergencies facing dairy producers may include an outbreak of a highly contagious animal disease, serious toxic exposures, foreign animal diseases, and natural disasters. A rapid response to an animal disease emergency will be necessary to halt the spread of the disease. This document provides a framework to ensure a rapid and coordinated response to an outbreak of a highly contagious disease in dairy cattle within the State of Colorado.
