The purpose of this report was to examine the impact of the Compass Learning Odyssey program on math achievement in low-performing middle school math students in twelve southern Colorado school districts. Findings indicate that intervention participants fail to statistically differ on overall CSAP growth compared to the matched control. However, the Compass Learning students performing at the unsatisfactory level on the 2009 CSAP exhibited growth percentiles that were greater than those exhibited by the control., Dan Jorgensen, Becky Smith, Wendy Dunaway., "January 12, 2012.", Bibliography: page 14., Online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed January 2017)
Colorado has adopted the Multi-Tiered system of supports (MTSS) conceptual framework as a representation of two sustainable systems change frameworks, Response to Intervention (RtI) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). To better-articulate a focus on equitable and efficient learning environments and high-quality instructional practices, usage of the term MTSS has emerged. Research and lessons learned from schools and districts contributed to the shift to a Multi-Tiered System of Supports as the best description of a continuum of effective academic and behavioral instruction and supports for every student. This document addresses the transition from RtI and/or PBIS implementation to the development of the CO MTSS framework., "September 2015.", Online resource; title from PDF caption (viewed July 2020)

The purpose of this guide is to provide information for school district special education advisory committee (SEAC) members regarding their functions and purpose. Many school districts in Colorado and throughout the country use advisory committees to provide advice and recommendations to improve services for students with disabilities. This guide is intended to assist school district SEAC members and the local special education director in the development and implementation of an effective and efficient local SEAC.
