Studies the economic and fiscal impacts of CO-LABS research entities located in Colorado for fiscal years 2009 and 2010, as well as to measure the impact of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding on the organizations., "March 2011.", Description based on online resource; title from PDF cover; (viewed December 2011), Includes bibliographical references (p. 27-29)
Locational characteristics of latitude and longitude were related to orchard risk and mitigation. Orchard size, age of operation, and membership in cooperative organizations predict loss. Experience influenced the propensity to mitigate., John P. Tiefenbacher, Ronald R. Hagelman III, and Reno J. Cecora., "March 7, 2000."--P. Nuclear emergency planning and management profoundly depend on computer-aided decision support tools that gather and analyze data on radioactive emissions, meteorology, demography, geography, etc., and provide decision support for prevention/mitigation, response, and recovery. The discussion primarily focuses on issues related to the behavioral and decision-making processes of the various players in the evacuation system, logistics, the generation of realistic scenarios for testing contingency plans, the validation of such decision support tools, and future trends in technology and the emergency planning and management process., "November 7, 2000."--P. Metal-mining associated wastes in the Lefthand Creek watershed in Boulder County, Colorado have been implicated as a major source of stream water contamination due to acid generation and toxic metal solubility. This watershed hosts hundreds of now inactive mine openings and dozens of sites of former ore milling. No complete analysis of mine sites or their environmental impacts exists to date. This report documents research and analysis of the sources, transport, and fate of aluminum, copper, iron, lead, manganese, uranium, and zinc in the Lefthand Creek watershed., Alice R. Wood, Roshan Cholas, Laura Harrington, Lily Isenhart, Ned Turner, and Joseph N. Ryan., "Report 04-01.
