2016-2026 statewide trails strategic plan
2016-2026 statewide trails strategic plan
In June 2015, Governor John Hickenlooper announced the "Colorado The Beautiful" initiative. The proposal included three priorities: (1) identify 16 critical trail segments in 2016; (2) develop a statewide Colorado Trails System interactive map; and (3) produce an updated Statewide Trails Strategic Plan. The "Colorado the Beautiful" initiative emphasizes protecting Colorado's outdoors, connecting people to the outdoors and linking outdoor areas in Colorado. The Governor highlighted the goal of having every Coloradan live within ten minutes of a park, trail or open space., text file, Online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed December 2020)

2020 Colorado angler survey summary report
2020 Colorado angler survey summary report
This angler survey was conducted in 2020 on a stratified sample of resident and non-resident Colorado anglers who purchased licenses in 2019. A total of 6,000 questionnaires were mailed out to 4,151 Colorado residents and 1,849 non-residents. Of these, 1,284 respondents completed the mail-in survey and 361 respondents completed the survey online through Qualtrics, providing a total sample size of 1,645 anglers, and a response rate of 27.4%. Angler responses to the questionnaire were evaluated based on both residency and by angling frequency category. Of the license types available, 40% reported purchasing an annual resident license. Anglers fished an average of 16 days and took an average of 11 trips. Over 40% of anglers reported that they fished in a State Park in 2019, compared with the 2012 survey in which only 27.1% of anglers reported that they had fished at a State Park., Nitsa Platis & George J. 2500' mandatory setback from oil and gas development : GIS-based assessment of impact proposed 2016 Colorado ballot initiative #78 would have on surface lands available for new oil and gas development facilities or hydraulic fracturing operations
2500' mandatory setback from oil and gas development : GIS-based assessment of impact proposed 2016 Colorado ballot initiative #78 would have on surface lands available for new oil and gas development facilities or hydraulic fracturing operations
2016 Colorado ballot initiative #78 proposes a 2500-foot mandatory setback between an oil and gas development facility (including oil and gas wells, injection wells, production and processing equipment, and pits) and any "occupied structure(s)" and "area(s) of special concern" through an amendment to the state's constitution. This regulatory change would be applied to all new oil and gas development facilities in Colorado, and any operation that used hydraulic fracturing. The current required setbacks are 500' from a Building Unit (e.g. home) and 1000' from a High Occupancy Building (e.g. hospital, school)., "5/27/2016.", Online resource; title from PDF cover (viewed March 2019)
